Riffs should be free for everyone! We at the Diary of Doom are quite fond of the Devil's Lettuce and given that doom metal would likely not exist without copious amounts of weed, we wanted to lend a helping hand in the steady battle for marijuana legalization. During a conversation with Leanne Martz of the band Darling, the phrase "recreational riffs" was tossed out and we thought it would make for a great shirt.
So now, here we are. All profits made from the sales of the shirts will be donated to the Last Prisoner Project, an organization that, through intervention, advocacy, and awareness campaigns, works to redress the past and continuing harms of unjust cannabis laws and policies: commutations for all those currently incarcerated for nonviolent cannabis-related offenses federally, record relied in the form of automatic expungements for those still suffering the collateral consequences of federal marijuana offenses, and ensuring that a criminal record is not a barrier to participating in the legal cannabis industry.
